Select paint colors from Ferrell Calhoun.  Due to the nature of subcontractors, the paint used to paint your house may or may not be obtained from Ferrell Calhoun Paints; however, the color that you select will be matched as closely as possible if your paint is obtained elsewhere.  Russ Laney Homes, LLC strongly recommends that you purchase a quart of your paint and put two coats on sheetrock and look at it in different lights to make sure you are happy with the color you have chosen.

Brick and mortar will be supplied from Wittichen Lime and Cement.  They have a showroom that you can visit for your selections.  However, we recommend that you pick your brick and mortar colors from a house that is already built.  Keep in mind that your brick allowance is $276/1,000, and there are some beautifully expensive bricks out there to chose from.  If you go by this method, let Russ Laney Homes, LLC know the address and we will find out what it is.  Our salesman in Rodney Talley.

As with brick and mortar, we also recommend that you pick your roofing color from a house that is already built.  See Russ Laney for a sample board of the various colors to chose from.  There is no showroom to view different roofing colors.

Lighting

All light fixtures will be supplied by Builder Specialties Lighting.  Before picking your light fixtures, the electrical rough-in must be completed.  Once completed, Rex Ridley (Our salesman) will do an electrical takeoff of your new home.  When you meet with Rex, he will show you the standard light fixtures that Russ Laney Homes, LLC uses  ($2,000 Allowance).  If you want to change any of these, let them know.  Any lighting overages that you may incur must be paid to Builder Specialties Lighting at this time.  If you have a credit with Russ Laney Homes, LLC you may use that towards your lighting allowance overage.  A change order must be completed within 72 hours of your selections, and signed by you and Russ Laney Homes, LLC.  Before visiting their showroom, please call ahead of time and make an appointment and bring your electrical layout.

All carpet and vinyl flooring material will be obtained from Lowe’s. Go by the Lowe’s on 64 Highway near Germantown Road (across from the Wolfchase Mall) and take a look at their carpet samples.  I have a laborer to install it.  We will install it over 7/16”, 6 lb padding.  Our allowance is $15/sqyd or 1.67/sqft. Material only.

All nail down hardwood flooring will be obtained from Floors by Aaron.  You do not need to go to the showroom for a stain selection.  Our selection process happens right at your new home.  We will install the hardwood floors after the sheetrock is hung and mudded.  After all of the hardwood floors are installed, trim, lights, carpet etc. will follow.  One of the last things we will do is sand and finish the hardwood floors.  On the first day of sanding, you will meet the hardwood floor finish team at your house where they will apply different stain directly onto your new hardwood floor for you to select from.  At this time you will also pick the finish (Satin, Semi Gloss, or Gloss).  The higher glosses will be harder to keep clean due to their shiny finish.

King Kitchens will supply your house with cabinets.  Sean is our salesperson.  Once  the electrical wiring is complete, Sean will layout the cabinets, and a cabinet selection must be made within one week of Sean doing his takeoff.  Please call Sean ahead of time to make an appointment, to get directions, and to meet him there.

Marble color and selection can be made at Marble Products.  There is no specific salesperson to speak to.  Try to have a brochure copy of your floor plan with you when you go to make your selections.  We use a recessed shell vanity bowl as a standard style.  If you have any further questions, please give me a call.  Tile selections  are to be made at the Quantum Showroom at 5690 Summer Ave (387-4540).   The allowance for tile material only is $2.50/sqft.  Labor for Granite and Marble on fireplace surrounds are $350 each.  The average fireplace will take 30 sqft. of marble or granite.
